Meet the band:
David ‘Major Griff West’ Glyde- a gem in Australia’s music scene. The dynamic leader of Sunday nights, Major started his career in Sounds Incorporated- touring with Cilla Black, Little Ritchie and The Beatles to name a few. This OG’s rock n roll roots influence his jazz lines and his on stage antics need to be seen. At 84, Major shreds the saxophone- and it is a treasure not to be missed.
Playing and recording around these parts for well over forty years with quite a few prominent and not so prominent performers- Hamish ‘Hambone’ Stuart graces us with his outrageous talent on the drums. We really are super lucky to have him around- and you’ll see why.
New Zealand born Aaron Blakey relocated to Sydney in 2011 after a four year stint living in Tokyo; Japan. He brings his unique blend of influences to the table and is known for telling stories through the piano. Aaron also writes his own music and leads his own bands as well as being one of Sydney’s most exciting sidemen.
Jacob Graham weaves solos of pure excitement with blistering technique and always deeply rooted in the blues. If you have been to a jazz gig recently, it is more than likely that you would have seen him perform around town as he is one of the most in demand sidemen in Sydney.
